Why everyone keeps coming back.

Tesco Cafe nestled on River Way in Andover, SP10 1UZ, offers a welcoming spot for those seeking a casual yet satisfying cafe experience. Primarily known as a cafe, breakfast, and brunch restaurant as well as a coffee shop, Tesco Cafe provides a comfortable retreat for shoppers and locals alike looking to refuel.

What stands out about Tesco Cafe is its straightforward, no-nonsense approach to quality food at budget-friendly prices. The menu caters to a range of tastes and dietary preferences, including noteworthy options such as the recently introduced vegan breakfast priced at £5.75 — a pleasant surprise that has been well received for being thoughtfully prepared, lightly seasoned, and satisfying without the heaviness often associated with such dishes. Traditional offerings like toasties (though typically white bread unless the cafe is quiet) and hearty breakfast plates provide good portion sizes, making it a dependable choice for a filling meal.

The atmosphere is unassuming yet cheerful enough to support enjoyable people-watching, especially for regular shoppers dropping by. While some guests have found the staff occasionally more reserved, many highlight friendly and efficient service that complements the overall experience. The environment is clean and comfortable, lending itself well to quick breakfasts or leisurely brunches alike.

The coffee is another commendable aspect, providing a smooth, comforting cup that pairs well with their savory and sweet accompaniments. Furthermore, Tesco Cafe is conscientious in accommodating dietary needs, as reflected in their diverse menu choices and accommodating staff.

While not a specialty destination, Tesco Cafe delivers exactly what a good local cafe should: good food, reasonable prices, and a pleasant, unpretentious place to enjoy a meal. Whether you’re popping in during a shopping trip or looking for a reliable breakfast spot in Andover, Tesco Cafe remains a practical and welcoming choice.

Looking for a quick breakfast in the area, I would have never imagined that Tesco cafe would be suitable. Much to my surprise, they have introduced (in recent months) a vegan breakfast for £5.75. It was alright, not at all greasy, a good portion, with a bit of seasoning it went down a treat. Staff were pleasant, service was efficient, I think the only negative was the lack of tomato ketchup available.

Always super friendly service. Great portion sizes and good food for the price. Nothing spectacular but everything you want from a little cafe. Good options for dietary requirements and nice coffee as well. We come here regularly when we do our shopping - it’s great for some people watching too!

We stopped by Tesco Café in Andover for lunch while on a holiday break in Winchester, and we were really impressed! The food was fresh, tasty, and well-priced. The staff were friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. The café was clean, comfortable, and had a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for a quick lunch during our trip. Great service and good food, definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
